On behalf of the women of Phi Omega I would like to welcome you to our website! Our sorority's motto is simple: "True happiness consists not in the multitude of friends, but in their worth and choice". As a group we strive to carry out this motto in everything that we do. We are a group whose ideals are based on sisterhood, scholarship, service, and leadership. We have grown to become the largest Greek organization on campus, but we still stay true to our motto. Every member of Phi Omega exudes confidence, courtesy, humility, respect, and duty. There is a strong sense of community and family within our group, which helps us reach our group's goals.
Service is extremely important to our group and since we are such a large group we clock an extraordinary number of service hours. Among many of our service projects are highway cleanups, sponsoring families for Angel Tree, playing Bingo at the Hallmark center with the elderly, Relay for Life, and a monthly donation to a non-profit organizations.
Scholarship is also extremely important to Phi Omega, therefore we help encourage each other to strive intellectually and scholastically as much as possible while still having a memorable college experience. PhiO's are also leaders all over the Cornell campus; from sports teams, theatre, mock trial, student senate, and many other areas of student life. Being around such strong and confident women fosters confidence and esteem in all of our members, which is something extremely important as young women.
Most importantly, Phi Omega is a true sisterhood and we make the best memories when we're together. Phi Omega has been a family away from home for me over the last 4 years, and I know the friendships I've made will last for the rest of my life. As president I'm honored to represent such a fun, unique, confident, and loving group of girls. So please take a look and enjoy the website!
