Purpose: OLA is an organization that works to provide and create a better awareness and education of Hispanic culture. OLA provides a system of support for entering and current students of Hispanic origin at Cornell College.

Established: at Cornell in 1992. OLA formerly known as "Gente" (People)

We, as OLA, believe in the need for education of Latino Culture for the Cornell Campus and the greater Mount Vernon area. We feel that through Latino cultural programs and activities, OLA can achieve a higher level of awareness and education. The second objective of OLA is a system of support for students of Hispanic origin. This support system is bound together by mutual respect and community.

Membership: is open to all Cornell students, faculty and staff.

Meetings: If you are interested in joining OLA just come to our general meetings every second Tuesday of each block in Magee DR (behind the Info Desk) at 5:30 p.m.
