2008-2009

Minutes for February 6th, 2008:

March 1st and 8th we will be making pi's in Stoner house.  Mark your calendars
Someone needs to make order forms for pi's and we need to have them out by the end of the month
We need to price supplies for making pi's
What should we do with the profits? One suggestion was that we help support one or many students going to Mathfest
We also talked about other things to do on pi day:
  • write pi on the ped mall but not letting Doug since he'll try writing it the digits in the 4th D. 
  • Graffiti all of the white boards on campus with at least 10 digits of pi
  • change the kiosk, like adding a large piece to the top of two of pillars making a pi symbols
  • any other ideas?

We want to do at least one of these, if anyone is committed to do one let us know. We should have an idea by the next meeting.

We also sometime later want to have an ultimate puzzle contest, we'll have a few exposure sessions then have the tournament, we need prize ideas

I emailed Actuary man asking if next Wednesday will work to give his presentation.

Minutes for January 23rd, 2008:

We're going to reserve stoner house kitchen Friday Feb. 29, Saturday March 1st and Saturday March 8th to make pi's
Next block we'll email the prof's about the wonderful sensation of getting a pi in the face
we need to reserve tables in commons March 3 -14th, and Myka volunteered
We may write many digits of pi on the ped mall
we decided homework sucks, kind of like coe

Minutes for January 9th, 2008:

We didn't cover much, we decided to see if the Wed. of the first week of 6th block in place of the normal meeting for the actuary man would work. 
We talked about what types of pi's we will want to make for pi day
these were suggested:
apple
chocolate
blackberry
pecan
any others?
 
we also need to make order forms and set a price per pi suggested $10?
